The clients of the Romanian Energy Efficiency Fund are companies with private or public-private capital and public institutions of local or national interest, which request funding for investment projects in the field of energy efficiency and energy production by capitalizing on renewable energy sources for self-consumption.

So far, out of the thirty-six (36) clients with whom the Romanian Energy Efficiency Fund has developed and continues to develop loan agreements:
16 clients
They operate within the industrial field (machine building industry, food industry, furniture industry, pulp and paper industry, etc.).
4 clients
They come from the area of communal household services, the object of their activity being the production, transport, distribution and supply of thermal energy in a centralized regime of domestic and non-domestic consumers.
2 clients
They come from public institutions subordinated to the county councils

They come from the area of administrative and territorial authorities

It comes from the tourist services area
